Desperate Mission-DR Congo

In DR Congo,there has been one of the biggest peace keeping operations in the world since 1999.

They sent most of their soldiers to the war-torn Eastern region. Although they can control the main towns and routes, it is impossible to cover most of this huge region. Along the routes,there are deep woods where some militias act. In fact MONUC have lost many of their men because of militias ambushes.

On the other hand,local people have high expectations and they are disappointed by the lack of results.As a consequence they sometimes blocked the routes or throw stones in a fury.

"I have a wife and children in my country,so want to achieve my duty soon and go back home" one peace keeper murmured.

MONUC,an international multi-force organization composed of soldiers from many countries in the world,each of them are struggling to fulfil their duty in this confused nation.
