古来より、川あるところに文化あり。
コンゴ内陸の街キサンガニでは、
今も人々は河に寄り添うように生きている。
川面をすべる丸木船も、
ダイナミックで独特な漁法も、
自然の恩恵から生まれている。

自然と伝統が融和した生活。

「あの漁法は、神が創り上げたもの。
我らの祖先がここに誕生した時からそこにあり、
我ら子孫の終焉まで続けられる…」
漁の長老はそう語った。

花鳥風月、喜怒哀楽。
誕生と死、創造と破壊…

この世のすべてを抱くように、
コンゴ川の流れは、絶え間なく続いていくのだろう。

In the history, cultures have been given along rivers.
In Kisangani, they even now live along the river
as if they rely on it.
Pirogue and traditional fishtrap have been born in the
nature.

In this region, the life is in harmony with nature and　tradition.

"That fishtrap is the one the God created.
It was there when our ancestors were born,
and it will be there until when our descendants vanish "
the elder of the fishermen said.

The flow of River Congo will continue as if it holds　everything in the world.
